What is "Personal Data"
“Personal Data” means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual (such as your name and address), and can include information about how you engage with this service (e.g. device information, IP address).
Personal Data that we might collect about you
Transaction Data. If you make a donation, we will receive transaction data. The “Transaction Data” that we collect includes Personal Data, and may include the following: your name, email address, billing address, payment method information (such as credit or debit card number, or payment card image selected by you), donation amount, date of donation, and in some cases your phone number. We may collect information typed into a donation form, even if you choose not to complete the form or complete your donation.
How we use and share your Personal Data
We generally use and share Personal Data of you, the End Customer, for the purposes of collecting, processing and disbursing donation payments.
Donation Payments. We use your Transaction Data to process your donation, issue the tax receipt, and maintain record of donations as required by the Canadian Revenue Agency.
Other Registered Charities. Some families may choose to distribute donations to one or many registered Canadian charities, and your Personal Data may be used and shared to faciliate these disbursements.
